Youth Summit Journalism 2024

Aylesbury Youth Action presents this unique opportunity for you to become a young journalist in association with ‘Youth Voice Bucks’

Youth Voice Bucks is managed by a team in Buckinghamshire Council and they aim to help more and more young people to get their voices heard about topical issues that interest them. Their aim is to listen to what you have to say and tell you about the difference that you have made to others. In March they are running their annual ‘Bucks Youth Summit’ where Schools from all over Buckinghamshire will come together and students talk about issues that concern them to voice their opinions and also take in the insightful opinions of others.

Aylesbury Youth Action brings together opportunities for young people to have their say, information for professionals, and examples of good participation work. Our mission for young people is very straightforward: we support young people to help their local community. If you want to get involved we run a project called ‘Holman Street Press’ where we aid young people into developing their journalistic skills. If you have something important to say in your community? Holman Street Press is an ongoing project for volunteers to really get their journalistic teeth stuck into. The Holman Street Press takes on real publishing needs from various clients and turns them into printed artefacts with community value. Explore your writing skills and help Aylesbury Youth Action continue to build our positive journalistic platform.
